Description

This Island Packet 40” is a real A-class Ocean going sailing yacht. This true Blue Water boat has a long keel and is equipped for long sailing trips around the world.
It has a spacious saloon, a Captains double cabin with luxury mattress in the front and adjacent a shower/toilet. In the back there is a double sleeping room for guests with second toilet. There is lots of storage space. There is also a washing machine/dryer and a Dessalator water maker on board.
The Webasto heater makes it comfortable in colder areas. The outside shower is at the swim ladder.
For navigation nearly everything is on board: Chart plotter, autopilot, radar, AIS-transmitter, depth-, speed-, GPS- and wind meter and fish finder for bottom information. For communication there is the DSC-VHF and a portable DSC-VHF.
The boat has 400Wh solar panels and 700Ah LIFELINE batteries, so you can be for months in a row on anchor if you like. The boat is very strongly built and has Coppercoat antifauling.
We also installed an electric winch for the main sail, also practical to hoist up someone in the mast.
The boat has been very well maintained in the 10 years we sailed it in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Even the surveyor put it as a note in his report !
We also have lots of spares. We are the third owner , bought the ship in 2011, refitted her in 2012 and installed or replaced many equipment during the time we sailed her.
