The Blackjon 500 BASIC is characterized by its tough appearance and indestructible material.

Due to the wide flat bottom, this boat is very stable, and has a shallow draft.

This boat is in fact made of HDPE, or High Density Polyethylene!
This is one of the strongest plastics, also used for sewers, gas lines, swimming pools and large work boats up to 14 meters, by our partner, Tideman Boats.

Indestructible
HDPE is recyclable and lasts a very long time. You sail it on the stones, up against the dock? No problem. This is because of HDPE's shock absorbing ability, instead of breaking or cracking it absorbs the energy, and you have no damage!

No Antifouling needed, 100% maintenance free
HDPE also grows on much less than other materials. As a result, you no longer need antifouling. Even better, the antifouling doesn't adhere to the boat either! This is better for the environment, cheaper, and easier. Every once in a while take the boat out of the water, hose it down. No corrosion (aluminum), rust (steel), wood rot (wood) or osmosis (polyester).

Quality
The boat is made of HDPE plates welded together, these welds are as strong as the material itself. So imagine you manage to sail damage, you can just weld the damage again, and it won't become a weak spot. Because of this, you can always keep repairing the boat, and the boat has an extremely long lifespan.

Durable
HDPE is one of the most durable materials to use for your boat, it is 100% recyclable, most environmentally friendly plastic to produce, and has a very long life!

Unsinkable
HDPE lighter than water, and thus will never sink. Despite that, all of our boats are equipped with multiple air chambers making these boats 100% unsinkable.
