For Sale: 1999 Forgus 37
Built on the Isle of Orust in Sweden, next to the Hallbery Rassy yard, Forgus Yachts employ Hallberg Rassy staff to make limited numbers of their high quality yachts when the Hallberg Rassy yard is in quiet periods. With a similar pedigree but arguably better sailing performance, the Forgus 37 rarely comes to market in the UK due to Scandinavian desirability.
Storna Hoga is a Category A, blue water, centre-cockpit Swedish cruising yacht with excellent build quality. I bought this yacht to complete in an Category 1 ocean race in 2023 and she performed brilliantly; she is fast, sea kindly and great fun to sail. For easy single-handed sailing, she has single-line reefing with lines lead back to the cockpit, a stack-pack for easy stowage of the fully battened main and a roller furled genoa controlled by over-sized Andersen 52ST winches. She has been completely up-dated to meet Category 1 World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations including recent rig and hull checks and has an extensive list of upgrades and new safety equipment. At 37ft she has spacious internal accommodation with a traditional layout and large stern cabin. An excellent opportunity for anyone looking to buy a later model Hallberg Rassy, Najad, Malo or similar at a competitive price.
