Essex is a 39-meter spits barge. Built in 1929 her interior is just amazing.
She still has the traditional old lay-out and her mahogany wooden interior.
Of course, she also has all the modern equipment onboard, but she is a true beauty and would work very well if you want to rent out the aft living for B& B or Airbnb.
She is very well maintained and needs to be seen. Still fitted with an old traditional slow running main engine but she also benefits of a diesel electric propulsion system. The generator used for the electric propulsion is a Euro stage 5 engine.
Essex is coming with al the paperwork for a working barge on the European waters and her Rhine certificate is valid till 2023.

Deutz SAM428 150 HP @ 600 rpm. 4-cylinder diesel engine.
Essex also benefits from Diesel electric propulsion. A generator is feeding an electric motor connected to the main shaft. The generator a Euro Stage 5 engine was fitted in 2016. Ideal for cruising in the small French canals
Solar panels fitted. in total 9 KW inverters. 900 AH deep cycle traction batteries.
24 Volt DC. 220 and 380 Volt 3 phase.
The "propulsion"generator is 40 Kw and the drive is 29 Kw effective.
Essex also benefits from a 6KVA smaller generator to charge the main batteries and domistic use.
All safety equipment as required by law and class.
Rhine certificate valid till 2023.
