La Deseada is Maurice Griffiths Bawley Yacht built by Johnson and Jago in 1962. Carvel built of Mahogany on Oak with a long iron keel she was substantially re built in 2001. The deck and Cabin top are all new in marine plywood, GRP sheathed. All deck beams and carlines have been renewed as were all keelbolts.
She was fitted with a new Yanmar 3GM 30 F 3-cylinder 27hp diesel in 2001, that has done only 250 hours. Currently used as an angling / day boat, she offers accommodation for three with a galley. |

Right Royal is a classic yacht built in 1951 for the Royal Engineers Yacht club. Designed by Robert Clark, she was built by J. I. Thorneycroft & co, Woolston in 1951. She was kept in class to Lloyds Register until 1964.
Hull planking is of Honduras Mahogany, splined, on Canadian Rock Elm timbers, fastened by copper nails and roves. Deck is of Western Red Cedar, and coachhouse and doghouse are of plywood. Deck, coachhouse and doghouse are sheathed with fibreglass/epoxy.
She has four berths in two cabins and a separate heads and a good galley. Mechanical propulsion is by Volvo MD2 15.5bhp twin cylinder diesel (1964).
Originally rigged as a sloop, she is now a masthead cutter. The doghouse was added, and her layout below decks altered to make her more suitable for long term ocean cruising.
Right Royal has cruised from 60°N to 46°S, has circumnavigated the world, and should be quite capable of doing it again. She is an excellent sea boat. |

Marguerita is a Classic Twin Screw Commuter Yacht designed for a New England Yachtsman who required a good seagoing craft of heavy construction with a good turn of speed and spacious accommodation. She was built regardless of cost by Britt Bros, West Lynn, Boston, Massachusetts in 1933, to the design of Henry J. Gielow.
She offers luxurious accommodation for up to five guests in three cabins, and even has a bath!
Construction is Douglas Fir planks over white Oak frames, galvanised screw fastened. She has Teak laid decks over Oak beams. In 1997 she underwent an extensive rebuild and much of her planking and many of her frames were replaced.
She is understood to have been owned at one time by the US Coastguard who re-engined her with a pair of superb 165 HP Detroit Diesel 6-71's.
She was also owned at one time by the legendary actor, John Wayne.
She has been very well maintained over the years. Try a reasonable offer! |

Hyskeir II is a classic, canoe stern motor sailer twin screw ketch designed by John Bain and built by James A. Silver Ltd of Rosneath in 1948. Hull construction is of Mahogany and Pitch Pine planking on Oak frames with Oak bulkheads and stringers. Decks are teak laid on Pitch Pine deck beams; the wheel house is of Teak. She currently has three berths but could easily accommodate six.
She is still fitted with her original 4-cylinder Gleniffer 48hp air-start diesel engines. These have done approximately 1,200 hours since the last overhaul. She has a Farymann diesel 6.5KVA Genset and oil fired central heating throughout.

France II is an ex Americas Cup Ocean racer that has been converted into a luxury yacht - ideal for family cruising but also for the popular Classic Yacht Racing circuit.
She was designed by André Mauric, Marseille, built by H. Egger, Pontarlier, of cold moulded Mahogany, in 1976 for Baron Marcel Bich (ball point pen, razor and lighter fame!) and l´Association Francaise pour la Coupe de l´America" to represent France in the trials for the 1977 America's Cup.
She has teak laid decks. She sleeps up to 6 in three cabins. Mechanical propulsion is by 170 hp Yanmar diesel and she has a Fisher - Panda Generator, has air conditioning and heating, satellite phone / fax and TracVision satellite TV.

"Grassholm" was built for Trinity House in 1970, under the supervision of their own surveyors, as a seagoing pilot vessel, capable of handling the heaviest of weather. The hull is very strongly constructed of 2inch thick teak planking on oak frames at 12inch centres, doubled from the water line to the keel. She has bilge keels fitted, and the main deck and bridge superstructure is constructed of aluminium.
Offering up to ten berths in four cabins plus the saloon, the interior is very comfortably fitted out in teak panelling, with a very full inventory. The engine a Gardner 8L3B eight cylinder diesel has very low running hours since a major re-build and gives her an effective range of 1,500 miles.
She was previously certified to DTI Class V111a.
Grassholm has just had a full survey (May 2009) at the same time as her lift out and complete external repaint.
The Surveyor was confident that she could easily be Coded to MCA category 0, no limitations on distance, with little effort and little expense. We have the build book of the vessel which can be accepted.
Grassholm is a very seaworthy, long-range motor yacht. |
